EU and New Zealand sign ambitious free trade agreement

The EU and New Zealand have today signed their free trade agreement (FTA), which will deliver significant gains for the EU. The deal will cut some €140 million a year in duties for EU companies from the first year of application. The agreement is now sent to the European Parliament for its consent.

No early termination of EU steel safeguard, review concludes

Today, the Commission published an implementing regulation maintaining the EU steel safeguard measure until its expiry on 30 June 2024. All tariff-rate quotas (TRQs) of the steel safeguard will continue to be increased (liberalised) by 4% as of 1 July 2023.
