Korea labour commitments: Panel timeline under Covid-19

Korea labour commitments panel timeline under Covid-19 restrictions.

15/09/2020: As Covid-19 continues to spread around the world, the Parties and the Panel of Experts decided to hold an oral hearing in a virtual format during the period of 8-9 October 2020.

Originally, the Parties and the Panel had planned to hold a physical hearing during the period of 14-16 April on the WTO premises in Geneva.

The organisation of a virtual hearing became necessary, as a physical hearing could not take place given that travel restrictions persist and access to the WTO premises is still limited due to the pandemic.

The Parties will publish a written report of the hearing on their respective websites, to inform interested persons about the hearing.

The Parties would also like to make it known that Professor Jill Murray has been appointed as new chairperson of the Panel after the passing away of the previous Chairperson. The other two panellists are Professor Laurence Boisson de Chazournes and Professor Jaemin Lee.
