EU acts against dumped kegs from China

Today, the Commission imposed definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of stainless steel refillable kegs originating in China for a period of five years. The duties imposed range from 62.6% to 69.6%.

The measures follow an investigation which showed that kegs from China were being dumped on the EU market, undercutting EU prices and thus causing injury to EU keg producers.

The measures will help to ensure that the EU keg industry, which employs 500 people, can compete on an equal footing with keg imports from China.

Stainless steel refillable kegs are used to preserve and transport liquids, notably beer.
