Vaisala is a company specialised in weather, environmental and industrial measurements. As the impacts of climate change and extreme weather events continue to grow, Vaisala equips professionals to better understand, forecast and explain weather-related phenomena to ensure better and safer daily life under all weather conditions. Vaisala also provides world-leading aviation weather observation systems and sensors of extreme reliability.

Vaisala has offices in 17 countries and customers in more than 150 countries.

How the EU-Mercosur Agreement would help

Vaisala hopes that the EU-Mercosur Agreement can help to standardise practices of doing business with Brazil – the company’s biggest market in Latin America – making administrative procedures easier and cheaper.

With the agreement in place, Vaisala's products could arrive to market at lower cost, giving Brazil access to more up-to-date technology and improving the efficiency and safety of operations there.

The EU-Mercosur agreement would be a key initiative that could certainly support our business growth in Brazil. By simplifying trade barriers, streamlining procurement procedures, and standardising product approvals, it would clearly make us more competitive in Brazil. Furthermore, it will benefit both sides, as we could grow our investments in Brazil, and Brazil would have access to more goods and new technologies, which can support their growth and development as well.

Vaisala Sales Representative in Brazil
