You will learn about the 2nd consolidated Annual Report on the Implementation and Enforcement of EU Trade Agreements: Chief Trade Enforcement Officer (CTEO) Mr. Denis Redonnet will guide you through the main activities carried out in 2021 and the first quarter of 2022 (the reporting period) to provide an overview of the concrete achievements and the challenges encountered when promoting trade agreements, preventing or removing market access barriers and infringements of trade and sustainable development commitments. The report will also provide examples of Commission activities helping small and medium-sized enterprises to navigate international trade, including through IT tools such as Access2Markets. Furthermore, you will receive an update on some of the main EU legislative instruments adopted or substantially advanced over the reporting period.
A staff working document will accompany the report, providing an update on the implementation of 38 major trade agreements, including for the first time a country sheet on the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement (EU-UK TCA), as well as a list of barriers reported and those resolved in 2021. Both the report and the staff working document will be published on the Commission’s website during the week of 10 October. You will receive the requisite links as soon as the documents are available. Registered participants will be informed of the publication.
