The purpose of this meeting is to present recent trends and prospects in EU trade policy and give the opportunity to civil society organisations to exchange views with DG Trade Director-General Sabine Weyand.

The European Commission’s Trade department invites civil society organisations to a meeting with Sabine Weyand – Director-General for Trade – on 13 June, as part of a regular series of exchanges and dialogue with external stakeholders on trade policy.

Ms Weyand will discuss recent trends in EU trade policy in light of the current geopolitical environment, as well as prospects on key current and future initiatives. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with Ms Weyand, sharing views and asking questions. We look forward to meeting you in person or online, and to hearing from you.

This is a hybrid meeting. We would be grateful if participants could arrive 30 minutes in advance. There will be a welcome desk in the lobby of the Charlemagne building where IDs will be checked for security clearance and identification badges will be handed out. Please bring with you the confirmation of your V-pass and an ID card or passport.

The WebEx access code and password will also be sent to registered participants. We would be grateful if participants could launch their WebEx connection at least 30 minutes in advance of the meeting, so that any technical problems can be resolved before it starts.

Reimbursement of travel expenses

If you are based outside Brussels and you wish to participate in person, upon registration you can ask to have your return travel costs covered from the city in which your organisation is based.
