The International Procurement Instrument (IPI) Regulation is aimed at opening third-country markets by removing the barriers faced by EU industry in public procurement procedures abroad. As a last resort, in case consultations with the third country concerned fail to resolve the barriers, the EU can restrict access to the EU market.

Participants will be guided through the IPI procedures, from the complaint, investigation and consultations to the eventual imposition of the different IPI measures. The EU online complaint form and other tools to facilitate the application of IPI measures in public procurement procedures will also be presented.
