Stakeholder event on Crafting the Transatlantic Green Marketplace

Seize the chance to make your voice heard! All interested stakeholders are invited to take part in the 'Crafting the Transatlantic Green Marketplace' stakeholder event on 30-31 January 2024 in Washington, D.C.

The EU-US Trade and Technology Council (TTC) has decided to organise a comprehensive stakeholder event to help implement the Transatlantic Initiative on Sustainable Trade (TIST) Work Programme that was agreed at the fourth TTC ministerial meeting of 31 May 2023.

The event will give the transatlantic stakeholder community the opportunity to provide their proposals on what they want the TIST to deliver and how to make the transatlantic marketplace a key factor for more sustainable and climate-neutral economies on both sides of the Atlantic.

The event will start with remarks by the EU and US TTC principals, followed by a high-level plenary session, in turn followed by various breakout sessions for discussions among stakeholders on specific issues related to the TIST Work Programme, such as increasing circularity, promoting the roll-out of more environmentally friendly technologies, and ensuring that the transition to the clean-tech economy is just.

The thematic sessions are interactive roundtable discussions steered by partnering US and EU organisations. Hybrid options are being considered.
