The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Trade awarded a contract for an 'Ex-post evaluation of the implementation of the EU-Colombia/Ecuador/Peru Trade Agreement' to BKP Economic Advisors GmbH (BKP). The Inception Report of the Study is the first contract deliverable and is intended to provide a comprehensive account of the methodology followed by the Contractor.

The EU-Colombia/Ecuador/Peru Trade Agreement has been applied with Colombia and Peru since 2013 and with Ecuador since 2017. This comprehensive and ambitious Trade Agreement covers elimination of tariffs on trade in goods, a reduction of non-tariff barriers to trade in goods, services and investment (market access), and provisions on competition, government procurement, protection of intellectual property rights, transparency in regulation, while integrating the objective of sustainable development in all those areas.

The purpose of this meeting is to present to EU civil society organisations the draft evaluation methodology, exchange views on it and collect feedback from civil society.
