Today, the EU and Mexico have taken a major step forward in their partnership by signing the Modernised Global Agreement (MGA) and interim Trade Agreement (iTA).
The European Commission welcomes the political agreement reached today between the European Parliament and the Council of the EU on two Regulations eliminating tariffs on all US industrial goods and providing preferential market access for certain US agricultural and seafood products.
Tomorrow (1 May), the EU-Mercosur Interim Trade Agreement (ITA) will start being provisionally applied. This will allow EU producers, exporters, and farmers to start reaping the benefits of this deal as of day one.
