3rd Joint EU-US stakeholders outreach event - Dual Use Research - Save the date

Following the 2nd joint stakeholder event in July, the EU and US will invite stakeholders to participate to a new outreach event with a special focus on the impact of export control for dual-use research and academic communities.

In a fast-developing geopolitical environment, organisations and individuals engaging in international research and cooperation on dual-use technology face specific challenges in complying with continuously evolving rules concerning export control.

Building on two previous stakeholder events that showcased the progress made in the TTC Export Control Working Group and in line with the adopted work programme, the 3rd Joint EU-US Stakeholders Outreach event will address the concerns and expectations of US and EU research community for the work of TTC WG7 Export Control moving forward.

This event will be opened and closed by the co-chairs and feature contributions by stakeholders from research organisations and academia, that will be followed by an open discussion to gather feedback and ideas for future initiatives in this area. While the meeting is specifically addressed to the research community, representatives from industry and civil society are welcome to join too. The event will not be open to the press and government representatives outside EU / US administrations.

Interested participants are invited to submit inputs, questions and comments in advance to the event using the Futurium online platform (EU-US Trade and Technology Council / Working Group 7 Export Controls).
