Civil Society Dialogue on WTO reform

The purpose of this meeting is to update participants on the ongoing facilitator-led reform process in the World Trade Organisation and on expectations and preparations for the upcoming 14th Ministerial Conference in March 2026.

In June 2025, Norway’s Ambassador to the WTO, Peter Olberg, was appointed by the WTO General Council chair as facilitator for WTO reform. By December's WTO General Council meeting, it is expected that the facilitator will deliver a report outlining reform deliverables. 

The objective of this meeting is to update civil society stakeholders on the state-of-play of the reform, and on expectations and preparation for the WTO's upcoming 14th Ministerial Conference.

This is a hybrid meeting. We would be grateful if participants could arrive 30 minutes in advance. There will be a welcome desk in the security screening area of the Berlaymont building where IDs will be checked for security clearance. Please bring with you the confirmation of your V-pass and an ID card or passport.

Webex access code and password will be sent to registered participants. We would be grateful if participants could launch their WEBEX connection at least 30 minutes in advance of the meeting so that any technical problems can be arranged in time before the meeting.
