The purpose of this meeting is to inform civil society about recent developments in the EU's trade relations and negotiations with countries in South and Southeast Asia, and to exchange views on the EU's trade policy in relation to these regions.

At this meeting, the European Commission will present and discuss with civil society recent developments in the European Union's trade relations with countries in South and Southeast Asia, and the state of play with respect to the implementation of bilateral free trade agreements with Singapore and Vietnam, as well as to next steps on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with Indonesia, and trade negotiations with India, Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia. The meeting offers an opportunity for an exchange of views with civil society organisations on the EU’s trade policy with South and Southeast Asian countries and its future.

This is a hybrid meeting. We would be grateful if participants could arrive 30 minutes in advance. There will be a welcome desk in the security screening area of the Berlaymont building where IDs will be checked for security clearance and identification badges will be handed out. Please bring with you the confirmation of your V-pass and an ID card or passport. 

Webex access code and password will be sent to registered participants. We would be grateful if participants could launch their WEBEX connection at least 30 minutes in advance of the meeting so that any technical problems can be arranged in time before the meeting.
